We have taken a genuine variator and modified it. The variator has been design differently to the regular one, it has been given more of a curvature shape inside and out to create a higher top speed and acceleration

Modified Custom Variator update

I gave the modified fixed drive half pulley another chance. The variator is quicker as supplied and with the 13g weights I've now reached 74 mph on a long run, but 65/66 mph is the most consistent top speed. Which isn't bad considering I'm 15 stone 😜
Definitely improves performance and running at 117 mpg ATM
The only niggle is the mild belt slap at idle which has taken a while to get used to.

Modified Custom Variator

Improved acceleration up to 30 mph, but does suffer from belt slap at idle. After running for about a month I changed to a stock fixed drive half of the variator,which stopped the belt slap and improved mid range torque. Acceleration up to 60mph is improved and tops out at 65 on the flat or 70 mph slightly downhill.
With a polini 15% torque spring and 14.5g roller weights I've gotten the best results. Great around town and on longer rides.
